DC Comics has announce the participants in the the final round of the Round Robin tournament. Running through June 2, 2021, the finals pits Robins by Tim Seely versus Suicide Squad Seven, written by Rex Ogle. In their announcement of the final round’s participants, DC released a preview of each potential title for voters to consider.
It started out with 16 contestants vying for the ultimate prize. After two months of voting, there remains only two.
To reach the finals, Robins beat out pitches such as Green Lanterns: Underworld on Fire & the Lobo/Animal Man team-up. For its part, Suicide Squad Seven beat out Blue Beetle: Graduation Day and Superman and Lois. They now face each other for the grand prize – a new series to be released DC Comics later this year.
Unlike previous rounds of the tournament, which was done through various forms of social media such as Twitter and Instagram, this round’s voting is only to members of DC’s online community, which consist primarily of members of DC Universe Infinite, the publisher’s digital comic service. As of the posting of this articles there are more than 1,700 votes already cast. To help voters in making their final selection, DC released preview pages of each prospective issue. Take a look at the images from each potential series below.
